BTServiceManager

Ever want to disable the A2DP profile on your iPhone?

When you connect your speaker to your iPhone via the dock, you can play music to your Speaker, however, when you pair your Bluetooth headset to your iPhone,  your music will not play through the dock anymore. The music will play through the headset.

But you may want to use the headset to make  phone calls only, and play music through the dock.

Now you can disable the A2DP service with Bluetooth service manager.

iOS 4 brings Bluetooth keyboard support to iOS devices, but the old iPod touches are not supported. Now you can use Bluetooth service manager to enable it.

    FINALLY!
    Thank you so much Eric.
    One comment: after selecting or deselecting “A2DP” in the app, the change does not apply until I hard-close the app (I use “Remove background” for that). It seems that when I do that, the bluetooth stack gets reset, and only then does the change apply.
    Therefore, I think it would make sense to have an “apply changes” button in the app.
    Thanks again!!!

    It works on IOS 5.0.1 !!!!!!!!! However it is very important to shutdown the iphone and power it up again after making changes with the “Bluetooth service manager” cause if not the changes are not applied.
    My Plantronics voyager plus was making me crazy cause it supports A2DP and all sound notifications like SMS and rmail were sent to the bluetooth and not to the iphone speaker, so I was missing many SMSs. Not anymore!!! Thanks!!

    @Jason

    You can use BackgrounderX (this one fixes 1/4 screen issue) to do override for Service Manager … Make sure you set Backgrounding method to OFF .. this will quite Service Manager every time and cause it to remember your services settings

    I am trying to install this and I get the following error in Cydia:

    “I wasn’t able to locate file for the com.ericday.btsvcman package. This might mean you need to manually fix this package.”

    Help? :-)
